I have finally found a stylist in Eastern Ontario who can
work black hairstyles on caucasian hair!! Paulette's work
is fabulous - she is a perfectionist who demands nothing less
than top quality service for her clients. Her customer service
is excellent, her work ethic unerring, and her finished product
above expectations. My dredlocks are perfect, from the initial
job on long hair, to the quarterly maintenance work. Paulette
chooses the right products for scalp and haircare, and her
prices are below competitive. I pay a fraction of the cost
of Toronto's market, for better work. Her suggestions are
thoughtful and professional, while still giving the client
room for creativity! Thanks Paulette! xoxo Sylvia

This best weave job I have ever done. Coming from Sweden, I
am surprise that a small town like Kingston could have such
quality professional and up to date services. The attention
to detail is amazing. Thank you Paulette. Lorissa -

I have visited many salons all over Canada and elsewhere
and Trendsetter Hair Clinic is the first place I have been
provided detailed and constructive information about the care
of my hair. Paulette has educated me on the care of my hair
and the use of proper products to care for my hair. Paulette
is very thorough and detailed oriented and I now feel I can
make decisions about my hair regardless of where I am in the
world.

I am from Toronto area and needed an emergency weave job.
I visited Trendsetter and although Paulette was not able to
do the emergency repair that time, since she was extremely
busy - my discussions with her convinced me that I should
look at other extension options more suitable to my lifestyle.
I was very impressed with her honesty and knowledge; therefore,
I made an appointment and traveled all the way back from Toronto
for the sheer joy of interacting with Paulette again. I was
introduced to the “Runway” hair and I have to
say it is the best extension job I have done. Since I color
my hair regularly to maintain my blonde hair, I needed extensions
that allowed me to color my hair as often as I like without
compromising the quality of the extensions. I could shampoo
my hair as often as I want and don’t have to worry about
the hair slipping or coming undone. I am very happy with my
new extensions and my stylist in Toronto was very surprised
that a stylist in Kingston of all places was able to provide
a service she did not know exist. Paulette you are the best.

I visited Paulette at her store in Belleville based on curiosity.
I wanted to know what this hair extension was all about. I
must admit after watching her explain various techniques to
other clients, when it was my turn to speak with her I had
my mind already made up. I had to get the weave extension.
I have since switched to “Runway Hair”. I had
never worn extensions before and since my hair is fairly thin,
I wanted something to add volume and look natural. Paulette
does an amazing job each time and each time I leave I feel
confident that I made the right decision. She put a spring
in my step and leaves me walking very tall and feeling good
and confident. I enjoy my hair, my husband enjoys my hair
and best of all no one knows I am wearing extensions. I told
her she cannot retire and if she does, she will have to commit
to do my hair; since, I don’t think I could live without
my extensions.

Paulette does amazing work - period. I enjoy her honesty
and integrity. It is amazing to find someone who is so focus
on pleasing you and making sure that you make the right decision
by providing all the information necessary. I was confused
but desperate to get extensions since my friend gave me a
bad hair cut. I was willing to spend whatever it took to get
the length back. After speaking with Paulette, she assured
me that I had lots of options and I did not have to spend
the amount I had first thought. She took great care in explaining
and demonstrating all the options available to me - trust
me there are many. In my desperation, she could have taken
advantage of my lack of knowledge and my willingness to spend
whatever - instead she guided my decision to where I was happy
with the extensions I got and more importantly what I paid.
You are truly the best.

I first met Paulette when I accompanied my grandmother to
Trendsetter to purchase a wig for her. Paulette looked at
my hair and complemented me on how thick and pretty it was;
but commented that it seemed a bit dry and needed some special
care – treatment, trimming etc. She recommended that
I used certain product which will improve the condition. I
assured her that I had lots of expensive products at my disposal;
since, I was a model for some major hair product manufacturing
companies.
The truth was I had lots of products; but, I was not using
them. My hair was getting more and more damaged from the constant
color changes I endured as a model and slowly I was developing
what I now know to be “Trichoptilosis” the technical
term for split ends. I was completely not aware of it. I had
severe split ends and Paulette was spot on with her observations.
I wish I had listened to her suggestions when she first observed
it.
A few months later it became very evident that I had a major
issue on my hand. My hair was splitting all the way down to
the scalp and I did not know what to do. I became ve desperate.
I went to several hair professionals who gave me lots of different
opinions. In the end I went back to Trendsetter; since, I
felt Paulette will definitely give me an opinion I could trust.
She has a way of not only giving her opinion but also explaining
in great detail so you could understand the basis of her opinion.
As a professional she simplifies her responses so that anyone
with average intelligence could understand. She suggested
that I cut off my hair and start over. I did not want to hear
this, in fact I cried at the thought of losing all my thick
damaged hair. Anyway, I knew I had no choice and had to come
to terms with this sad truth. Other stylists told me to do
this as well, but, for some reason I felt more confident hearing
it from Paulette. She made me feel my best interest was what
she cared about- you feel the sincerity in her opinions.
I decided to take her advice and cut off my hair. I am on
my second wig and looking for a third one. My hair is slowly
growing back and I am definitely making an effort to ensure
that this condition does not occur again. I am tempted to
start coloring my hair again, but Paulette suggested that
I wait until my hair grows out some more. I think I will listen
to her this time. Paulette you are truly one to be trusted.
